Gratitude/Thankfulness

In everything be thankful! Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 KJV

He Whom Was Sent

The Son of the Most High God was sent to bare witness of His Father. He was also given to us to be an example and now a mediator. Our Messiah left behind the Holy Spirit as a comfort while we are under subjection from the things of this world. This place we live in was given to satan for a little while, meanwhile we are supposed to be living in love. Christ showed us how to live and if we live in love then we are following the laws of God automatically.

Our big brother better known as Jesus was given unto those that persecuted Him because they didn’t understand that He wasn’t trying to undo what was already done but He was actually walking it out how the Creator intended for us to live in and on purpose. He literally is the branch in which was offered for us to receive so that we may live eternally even after death. Christ came, lived, died and now until he comes again to divide the wheat from the tares he’s interceding for us. Being that satan is the accuser of me, you and our brothers/sisters, God’s Son is in Heaven standing between us and Him to lighten that blow (grace and mercy) that the enemy wants us to experience so we can be angry with God and go to eternal damnation with him when his time is up (which is very close now).

Who doesn’t want a pillow before they slip and fall? Although this is freely given by the Most High via our Messiah we have to agree to receive salvation. The comforter that He left behind (Holy Spirit), leads and guides us in everything we say, do and think…giving us discernment in making the right choices. This makes our Heavenly Father happy with us so that we can be in peace while enjoying the fruitful plain of life until this age is passed away. There is so much we have to endure as we unconsciously wait for the end but if we stay positive, always do our best and give God the glory then we’ve covered the basics.

I could go go on and on about how Christ benefits us and His purpose for coming into the world in human flesh but I’ll let you do some research on your own. Family, live in love and do what it is that the Almighty has placed on your heart to do. Be counted worthy and don’t vex others but do what our Deliverer, the Lion and the Lamb did and represent the Most High God to the best of your ability (giving the word to save souls, healing the sick, casting out unclean spirits, ect.). Shalom

Are we supposed to only be thankful one day out of the year? What exactly are we being taught? What are we co-signing to? Are we supposed to lead or follow? Who and what are our examples? Seek out truth and find out the origins of what is celebrated. Are we brave enough to research on our own or do we feel more comfortable staying in what we learned in ignorance? Ask questions! Growth is in learning what the truth is and changing your life for the betterment of generations to come. Sometimes accountability isn’t favorable to the masses. The consequences of knowing what the truth of the matter may separate you from what you think life is. Your normal may be a lie to benefit a dishonest and greedy society or leadership. In enjoying the up and coming holidays remember to search your heart, the scriptures and the origins of what unites us, it just may be a disappointment. Fear not…God will not be mocked. I love you all with the love of Christ, examine the evidence.

Shalom

Prayer and Fasting

Support and Invest! Every donation is appreciated.

Prayer and fasting is defined as voluntarily going without food in order to focus on prayer and fellowship with God. Prayer and fasting often go hand in hand, but this is not always the case. You can pray without fasting, and fast without prayer. It is when these two activities are combined and dedicated to God’s glory that they reach their full effectiveness. Having a dedicated time of prayer and fasting is not a way of manipulating God into doing what you desire. Rather, it is simply forcing yourself to focus and rely on God for the strength, provision, and wisdom you need.

Prayer and Fasting – What the Bible Says:
The Old Testament law specifically required prayer and fasting for only one occasion, which was the Day of Atonement. This custom became known as “the day of fasting” (Jeremiah 36:6) or “the Fast” (Acts 27:9). Moses fasted during the 40 days and 40 nights he was on Mount Sinai receiving the law from God (Exodus 34:28). King Jehoshaphat called for a fast in all Israel when they were about to be attacked by the Moabites and Ammonites (2 Chronicles 20:3). In response to Jonah’s preaching, the men of Nineveh fasted and put on sackcloth (Jonah 3:5). Prayer and fasting was often done in times of distress or trouble. David fasted when he learned that Saul and Jonathan had been killed (2 Samuel 1:12). Nehemiah had a time of prayer and fasting upon learning that Jerusalem was still in ruins (Nehemiah 1:4). Darius, the king of Persia, fasted all night after he was forced to put Daniel in the den of lions (Daniel 6:18).

Prayer and Fasting – What Does it Accomplish?:
Spending time in prayer and fasting is not automatically effective in accomplishing the desires of those who fast. Fasting or no fasting, God only promises to answer our prayers when we ask according to His will. 1 John 5:14-15 tells us, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of him.” In the prophet Isaiah’s time, the people grumbled that they had fasted, yet God did not answer in the way they wanted (Isaiah 58:3-4). Isaiah responded by proclaiming that the external show of fasting and prayer, without the proper heart attitude, was futile (Isaiah 58:5-9).

How can you know if you are praying and fasting according to God’s will? Are you praying and fasting for things that honor and glorify God? Does the Bible clearly reveal that it is God’s will for you? If we are asking for something that is not honoring to God or not God’s will for our lives, God will not give what we ask for, whether we fast or not. How can we know God’s will? God promises to give us wisdom when we ask. James 1:5 tells us, “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”
